The 13th annual South Portland Holiday Toy Drive is a community event that holds a special place in the hearts of Bulletin Brands employees. Jennifer is one of the organizers, and she’s managed to get our whole team involved, even though we’re spread out across multiple cities and states. This toy drive directly benefits kids and teens in the South Portland area, and it’s a cause we are proud to support each year. Although our team supports many different organizations during the holiday season with our employee donations, this toy drive means a great deal to us given Jennifer’s involvement!
This year, the Toy Drive provided a warm coat, boots, gloves and gifts to 387 children and teens in South Portland. Additionally, 51 of those kids requested (and received!) new bicycles. It takes a village every year for an undertaking of this size, and Bulletin Brands is a wonderful friend of the Toy Drive in many ways.
- Volunteering Time: Every holiday season, Ben and Suzette volunteer their time to help on drop-off day. Whether it’s checking in donations, sorting toys, or adopting a family, their dedication is awesome and so appreciated.
- Designing Marketing Materials: Ashley is the brainchild behind the South Portland Toy Drive’s overall appearance. She created the logo in 2023 and designs the flyers and posters that are distributed all around South Portland. She also jumps in when needed to make last minute adjustments for specific marketing efforts.
- Donations: Every holiday season, Bulletin Brands gives each employee $250 to donate to a charity of their choosing. Jennifer donates her money to the Toy Drive. As a Maine nonprofit, every dollar counts, and Bulletin Brands’ generosity helps greatly!
The collaboration between the South Portland Holiday Toy Drive and Bulletin Brands has not only benefited the kids and teens they serve but has also fostered a stronger sense of community within our company. The idea of doing the right thing, being transparent, and giving back has become a core part of Bulletin Brands’ identity, and it’s wonderful that we all have the opportunity to help with the organization that’s an important part of Jennifer’s life!
